Gaurav has closed more than 35 transactions representing both public and private sellers, buyers and strategic partners in a broad range of technology industries and sectors, including Internet, Software, and Hardware. 

Prior to joining the firm, Gaurav was a Managing Director at Pagemill Partners, a division of Duff & Phelps Securities. Previously, Gaurav worked as an investment banker at Banc of America Securities in the Technology, Media Group where he provided advisory services to technology companies on IPOs, follow-on offerings, M&A and debt-related transactions representing more than $3B in aggregate value. Gaurav has successfully completed complex cross-border transactions in geographical regions worldwide including Canada, Europe and Israel. One of his cross-border transactions led ACQ to recognize the transaction as Cross-Border M&A Advisor of the Year.

Gaurav started his career in engineering and moved into management positions at Vitesse. He grew up in India and is conversant in Bengali, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu. He is also co-author of several published papers in scientific journals.

A total of 88 M&A transactions completed in Q3 2018 puts the FinTech industry on pace for its strongest M&A year on record. M&A activity in the application development and deployment space continues to be strong with 18 transactions completed thus far in 2018.  Enterprises are increasingly focused on accelerating their application development lifecycles, adopting DevOps methodologies, proactively addressing application security and leveraging cloud deployment models.  Capstone Headwaters recently announced their fourth closed transaction in the space over the past 24 months with the sale of Programming Research Ltd.
